ASSOCIATION OF WOUNDED SOLDIERS INJURED IN MISSIONS ABROAD
Arose from the initiative of soldiers on active duty and reservists who have served in missions abroad, were wounded, injured, or whose problems stem directly from the serving in foreign operations. Civilian employees of the PKW may also join the association, if they meet the above criteria. The Association was registered on 25.04.2008 by the District Court in Szczecin, where the headquarters of the Association are located.
Organizational matters:
• Voluntary enrollment is 100 zł
• The monthly fee is 10 zł
The objectives of the Association are:
• / Conduct various activities leading to improving the lives of wounded and injured in military missions abroad;
• / Take actions to improve social and living conditions of the Association members and their families and the families of fallen soldiers;
• / Represent and protect the interests of the wounded members of the Association against the state and local authorities;
• / Assist in any available way to help the wounded and injured in military missions abroad, as well as the families of fallen soldiers;
• / Defend social interests and social environment of wounded and injured in military missions;
• / Clarify the meaning of participation of Polish soldiers in military missions abroad to include international peacekeeping operations, the elimination of the conflicts and building mutual trust and cooperation;
• / Publicize, both at home and abroad, the achievements and experiences of Polish military in international missions in various parts of the world;
• / Interact and cooperate with the Ministries of National Defense, Foreign Affairs, Internal Affairs and Administration, within the objectives and goals of the Association;
• / Strengthen ties and mutual respect in their own environment, and maintain close relationships with their military units and military and civilian institutions;
• / Organize meetings of the Association members to exchange experiences;
• / Acquire funds and equipment necessary to perform its statutory obligations;
• / Publicize the problems of soldiers wounded or injured who were participants in military missions abroad.
The Association pursues its objectives by:
• / member attendance in activities, clubs and events sponsored by the Association;
• / presenting the demands and opinions concerning the wounded and injured in military missions abroad to the appropriate authorities and administrations;
• / developing actions to identify the social and living conditions of wounded and injured in military missions and their families, with particular emphasis on family members of fallen soldiers;
• / inspiring and organizing assistance to the persons referred to in item 3, if such need arises;
• / organizing meetings, lectures, readings, exhibitions and participation in projects devoted to the role of Polish participation in military missions abroad and other organizations aimed at ensuring peace and security;
• / registering candidates and supporting its members who are candidates for positions in state and local government;
• / strengthening ties and friendly relationship of mutual respect in an environment of wounded and injured in military missions and other international organizations in the country and abroad;
• / networking and developing contacts with other associations, unions and NGOs both at home and abroad;
• / acquiring funds and material resources from institutions and individuals, both legal and physical, that support the Association.
